Extreme Opti Sailing
Richardson's Bay
Sailing in richardsons bay is usually frustrating, because there is usually little wind with many shifts and puffs. When you are sailing keep this in mind, If you see the fog coming over the mountains, the wind will usually pick up and shift to the right. Always play the shifts when you are here. Also, the race is basically a race to the puffs, as long as you get to the puffs, you will do well.

Fort Knox
When you are sailing at Fort Knox, there is always current. With that in mind, you always want to stay either out of the current, if it is flooding try to stay out of the shipping channels, because the current is always stronger in the channels. If it is ebbing, do the opposite. I would use a flat sail because their is a lot of wind most of the time. The wind comes out of the gate most of the time, so plan accordingly.

Hurricane Gulch
When you sail at hurricane gulch, there is almost always wind, so plan accordingly. The wind is usually pretty steady here, so it doesnt shift a lot. There is usually LOTS of current here, so keep in mind trying to stay in/out of the current depending on the direction it is flowing. Usually, the wind progressivly starts to build if you see fog coming over the hills. There is not too many shifts here but be on guard as there occaisonaly is a few throughout the race.
